Butterfly I

Chilling on the beach enjoying the sunset , I walk home to find a yellow butterfly sitting on the top step of the stairwell...I think of my beautiful deceased father.

Japan perceives the butterfly to be a "soul of the living and the dead" , as a result of the popular belief that spirits of the dead take on the form of a butterfly when on their journey to the other world and eternal life:
